The volleyball state championship celebration will take place in the gym on Friday, March 9 at 8:55 am.  It is free and everyone is invited.  The team members will receive their championship rings and the banner will be unveiled in the gym.

The girls softball team plays their home opener on Tuesday, February 28 at 4pm.


The girls soccer team won the first district title in school history on January 20.  They finished the season with a school record 20 wins (20-5-2).


The varsity boys basketball team defeated Calvary Christian 59-41 to win the Highlands Christian tournament championship on Saturday, December 3.  Paul Jones was the tournament MVP and Christian Robledo was named to the All Tournament Team.

At the Adidas Christmas Tournament at Florida Christian School, Jordany Dominique was named to the All Tournament Team.


State Champs!!!

The volleyball team won an exciting match that went the distance to defeat Pine Castle Christian for the state title.  It is the first state championship in the history of the storied volleyball program and the great career of Coach Terri Kaiser.

Team Members Claim Postseason Awards

Junior Kristen Reid was named the Florida Dairy Farmers 2A Player of the Year and also the Palm Beach Post & Sun-Sentinel Player of the Year.  Kristen put together an amazing season, recording a school record 600 kills!

Amanda King and Kristin Kintz were both named first team all county by the Palm Beach Post and Sun-Sentinel.  Elizabeth Owens, Missy Reid Emily Jankun and Emily Lampman also received all county recognition.  Head coach Terri Kaiser was once again named Coach of the Year by both papers.


FHSAA Physical and Consent forms are available here.  These are the forms that MUST be used before trying out for any sport in the 2011-2012 school year. 

The Recruiting Affidavit must be turned in by families of students entering LWC for the first time starting in grades 10-12.  Please contact Coach Harwood with any questions.


Terri Kaiser recorded her 500th career coaching win on September 6.  Kaiser has coached high school volleyball for 25 years, 23 at Lake Worth Christian.  She has taken the Defenders to the state tournament 10 times.  Kaiser also recorded an additional 268 wins as head coach of the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish volleyball program.

Kristin Kintz was named News 12 Athlete of the Week on September 30 for her outstanding play at libero for the Defenders.

Kristen Reid was named the MaxPreps AVCA Player of the Week for the State of Florida for her play during the week ending September 25.  Kristen was also named to the Northside Tournament All-Tournament Team in October.

The Defender Volleyball Program participated in two breast cancer awareness events in September.

The LWC girls defeated Highlands Christian at PBA on Wednesday, September 21 in a Pink Night event.  A scholarship in memory of Connie Vanderwey was awarded to PBA player Janeen McCormick for over $3,000. 

The second event was a home game against Summit Christian.  The gym was decorated with pink everywhere and $3,000 was raised by the schools to donate to the Susan G. Komen foundation.
