Children’s Crown Awards
2011-2012
Grades three through five participate each year in the Children’s Crown Award Reading Program. The mission of the Children’s Crown Awards is to encourage elementary students to read wholesome and uplifting books by providing lists each year of the best literature. Students who meet the reading goal for their grade level attend a voting party in the high school library in April and cast their votes for the school favorite. The national winner is announced at a later date. Students who participate receive an award at the end of year awards assembly.
